Basic Cream Cheese Frosting photo

A very quick cream cheese frosting,great for cup cakes and carrot cake and not overly sweet.


  • 1/2 cup - butter softend
  • 8 ounces - cream cheese softend
  • 4 cups - powder sugar
  • 2 teaspoons - vanilla extract


In a medium bowl, cream together the cream cheese and butter until creamy. Mix in the vanilla, then gradually stir in the confectioners' sugar. Store in the refrigerator after use.
